In my perfect world, I would have a nice and healthy snack ready for my kids when they get home from school.
In my other perfect world, the kids get home from school and make their own healthy snack.
The way to make both of them happen is to actually have healthy options available for them.
These things are so easy. They are pretty, look fancy, and they are healthy as well.
Make sure you wash your apple first and then slice it with this amazing corer and slicer.
Make the peanut butter runny by heating in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
Drizzle over the apples and add a favorite topping. We did chocolate chips but you could do sprinkles, coconut or just leave it plain. Have fun with it. Take pictures and share them with us.
Apple Nachos
1 apple
2 Tbsp. peanut butter
2 Tbsp chocolate chips
1-Make sure you have all your ingredients and your work area is clean.
2-Wash your hands.
3-Wash the apple.
4-Using a thin apple slicer and corer, cut your apple. If you don’t have one, with the help of an adult, cut the apple into thin slices.
5-Spread the apple on a plate. You can have fun with it and make a fun design if you want.
6-Get a big spoonful of peanut butter or any kind of nut butter you want. Put it in a microwave safe bowl and heat it up for about 30 seconds.
7-Remove carefully from the microwave.
8-Use a spoon and drizzle over the apples.
9-Sprinkle chocolate chips on top or whatever topping you want.
10-Clean up your mess.
