Experimenting is something chefs love to do. Little HalfPint chefs are the same way.
We have Pizza Friday at our house. I usually mix up a batch of pizza dough and we all make our own pizzas. I try to have an assortment of toppings to choose from and the kids pick what they want. Since they make it themselves they usually eat it without complaining.
Today our mission was to find different types of crust AND to figure out which one we liked the best.
Watch the video to see which one we picked as our favorite.
Ingredients
Any type of Pizza Crust
Pizza Sauce
Mozzarella Cheese
Pepperoni (optional)
Any kind of pizza topping you like
1-Wash your hands and get everything you need out on the counter.
2-Turn your oven on to 425 degrees.
3-Choose your pizza crust. We tried English muffins, bagels, flat bread, French bread, and Pillsbury Grand Biscuits.
4-Place crust on a sheet pan. If you are using the Biscuits, you will need to flatten them a little. We used a silicone sheet so it wouldn’t stick and it’s easier to clean up.
5-Spread some sauce on the crust you chose.
6-Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese over the sauce. If you like a lot cheese try to cover up all the sauce so you can’t see it.
7-Put your favorite toppings on top of the cheese.
8-Bake in oven for about 8 minutes. If it needs more, bake it a little longer until the cheese is melted.
9-While it’s baking, clean up your mess.
10-Ask an adult to help you take it out of the oven and help you cut the pizza.
11-Eat, share, and enjoy!!!
